Cairo, Egypt, November 2025, The Arab Blockchain Center (ABC) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with EMURGO Labs, the full-stack innovation arm of the Cardano ecosystem, to drive blockchain education, research, and enterprise adoption across the Arab world.
This collaboration aims to establish a regional framework that bridges academia, startups, and enterprises, empowering the next generation of blockchain builders and innovators in the Middle East and North Africa.
Empowering the Next Generation of Blockchain Talent
Through this partnership, ABC and EMURGO Labs will co-develop educational programs, technical workshops, and industry certification pathways designed to equip students and professionals with hands-on blockchain expertise. The collaboration will also introduce joint research initiatives focused on emerging Web3 technologies, such as tokenization, decentralized identity, and digital asset management.
The initiative will begin by launching pilot training programs at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in Egypt, establishing it as the first academic hub within ABC’s growing educational network.
Driving Regional Innovation and Enterprise Adoption
Beyond education, both organizations will focus on accelerating blockchain adoption across enterprises and government sectors in the MENA region. EMURGO Labs will contribute its technical expertise, product incubation support, and developer mentorship, while ABC will provide localized research, community outreach, and policy alignment with regional regulators and financial institutions.
The partnership will further enable joint innovation programs for startups, including incubation and go-to-market support for projects built on Cardano and other interoperable blockchain networks.
